Game Journalism Day 3
Question 1: How many days do you have to complete this challenge?
I think I need 6 days to do this challenge because it takes time to find the materials like the fishing line and the hook to create the fish tackle. This challenge takes a lot of time because I have to use the charcoal from a burned fire(more than 1 hour of burning) to survey the area to get to a lake. I also need a hunting knife to clear the ice hole and it also takes a lot of energy to clear the ice hole to fish.What does it takes to make fishing tackle?
It takes a hook and a fishing line to make a fishing tackle.
The hook can be created by some scrap metals and the line can be crafted using cured guts like animals' gut drying out indoor for 5 days.

Question 2: What did you do today?
I went to harvest the guts from a deer carcass and I left it inside the house for 5 days then I collect the guts to make the line. I went out to find scrap metals to create the hook but it was really difficult because I kept dying of hypothermia and I kept get attacked by the wolf. I made a fishing tackle but I don't know where to fish and I couldn't get to the ice fishing place because of the weak ice. I had to make many fires and melted snow to drink but luckily, I didn't die of dysentery.Tuesday, 8 May 2018
Game Journalism Day 5 Walk Through
1.Explain how to play this game
- The goal of the game
This is a survival game where a player will need to interact with the environment and find all the strategies to live. You will need to collect as many materials as possible from the cabin(The Trapper's Homestead) and go venture out the find different things. Somethings to watch out for are the cold weather, the wild animals like the wolves and the bears, hunger, thirst, sleep, weak ice, and high cliffs because those are the main factors that make you die. You will need to collect materials from the environment to craft different stuff to survive your way through different location in order to get to the light house. You can get into different cabins and take some stuff if needed. The main point is to survive and keep the health bar as high as possible.
- What do different keys do
W=forward I=inventoryA=left C=clothing
S=go back Space bar=main menu(food, drink, craft, navigation, weapons,...)
D=right Left mouse= taking stuff, fight animals
Shift=sprint Right mouse=drop materials
Ctrl=crouch
- Some tips to survive
Make a fire, this will keep you warm and heal hypothermia.If you see some crows, that means that there is a dead body nearby and probably a wolf
Collect as many sticks as you can because this can help make fire
Don't step on weak ice because you might drown
Use charcoal for locating directions
Don't climb high cliffs
Cook food and melt some snow to make water
Drink and eat before going to sleep as well as sleep near a fire or you might wake up dying of the cold or of thirst or hunger
Go out during the day and rest during the night
Avoid eating raw meat and drinking water from melted snow
